I originally fitted flashing neon tubes under the top pannel to give the illusion of the moving switch lights but these have now been replaced with much better and more advance units. The two strobe blocks are powered by a small circuit that randomly flashes the lights. The preset pattern can be over ridden by pressing the round green buttons. At event kids like pushing the buttons on the top pannel so by pressing the green ones they can effect the light real time.In the larger red window there is a scrolling LED screen showing what ever I wish. It currently shows, K9 and hsi Blog address.Have a look at the video below to see it all working.I made my first K9 many years ago as an Arts degree project The second was a computer case mod, more of a homage to K9 than a replica. The third was a full size replica with all the working gadgets and more. After attending a number of public events and noticing that K9 replica builds seemed to be coming family common place I decided to take my K9 back to the drawing board. With an unnatural interest in StarTrek the new K9 design was easy. Say hello to K7 of 9.
