K9.

The tail so far is just a simple car stearing gator and a bit of hollow fibregalss rod. It all needs more work to make it look like the origianl MKII tail but fitted in this way means I will be able to get the tail to wag very easily with a small servo motor. I was thinking of using the same motor system to drive the tail as I use on the holo project on the R6, a cheap £5 toy CCTV camera of ebay. This device works brilliantly on the R6 and would be idea for the tail drive.
K9 has also had his first base coat of grey now the body and head have been sanded down and finished. I am using a simple acrylic satin emulsion which when dry is very tough and will provide a great base coat for the top metalic charcole grey. I am going with the MKII colour scheme and not the later metalic blue, as I like the original design and colour better.

I am going to give the grey base coat a week to fully dry and then I will add the top metalic coat.
The next bit of the build may take more time as I need to find the money to purchase all the electronics and drive system.
This is what will be fitted to power K9.
Dimension Engineering Sabretooth Dual 25A ESC
Dual 120w Scooter motors (I will buy two electric scooter from ebay and use all the parts to power K9, batteries, wheels, drive system and motors.)
DM SportBEC to power the seros, BEC on the ESC is not powerful enough.
Also to be added will be:
RF Transmitter to power all the extras
Water spray system, car washer pump and solenoid
Powered antenna.
LED's for the top panel, and head and flasher circuit.
8" photo frame with sound playback.
Two 3" car speakers
Motor drive for head, tail and ears.

Lots still to do.
