K9. Neck

The neck assembly is very simple. A curved metal tube passes down from the head into the body where it pivots on a metal L shaped bracket. In the head as you can see there are two stoppers, one top and bottom. These allow the head to pan left and right, they are fixed to the metal tube. If you think they look like old skate wheels that is because they are. I had they left over from the old R6 front wheels and they seemd ideal for this. The lower wheel and top wheel are screwed into the tube so they clamp the head in place. What I will try and do is put a motor in the head fixed to the head structure. The motors drive wheel will engage onto the top wheel which will allow me to pan the head left and right, in theory.
